Quick answer
Monster Alchemy mutations are a separate layer from recipes and fusion. Official material says mutations can change a monster's appearance and stats, but they do not change the monster's passive.
This page tracks mutation names and effects with evidence labels. Treat community mutation tables as useful leads until the same mutation is reproduced in the current Early Access build.
Mutation list
| Mutation | Appearance or theme | Stat effect | Passive changes? | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Spectral | reported by community guides | record after reproduction | no, by official rule | community reported |
| Nocturnal | reported by community guides | record after reproduction | no, by official rule | community reported |
| Corrupted | reported by community guides | record after reproduction | no, by official rule | community reported |
| Mystic | reported by community guides | record after reproduction | no, by official rule | community reported |
| Gigantic | reported by community guides | record after reproduction | no, by official rule | community reported |
| Tiny | reported by community guides | record after reproduction | no, by official rule | community reported |
How to verify a mutation
- Record the base monster name.
- Record the mutation name exactly as shown in-game.
- Compare the displayed stats before and after the mutation when possible.
- Confirm that the passive remains the same.
- Add the build date and whether the row is official, reproduced, or community reported.
Why mutations matter
Mutations connect directly to three high-value tasks:
- Monster database: players need to know whether a monster can appear with a mutation.
- Fusion combinations: players need to know whether a mutation affects the resulting monster or only the rolled individual.
- Recipes database: players searching recipes may also be trying to reproduce a mutation result.
What not to assume
Do not assume a mutation is better for every build. Do not copy stat percentages into this page until they are checked in-game or supported by a reliable source. Do not merge mutation effects into passive descriptions.
